Meneken Really Needs Your Vote!!!

Our friend Rhiannon's pup Meneken seemed to be building a comfortable lead but apparently Sweet Pea is the favorite of insomniacs world wide because this is the second night in a row that she has gained a ton of votes in the wee hours of the morning.

In case you missed the original post from Rhiannon, here's the gist of it,


Please vote for my little Meneken. He's the sixth one down, on the left. He absolutely deserves to win. This pic of him smiling was taken this summer, doing his very favorite thing, riding on a boat. He just turned 13 this month. I just wish that they mentioned his being rescue, but I guess that they like to keep it short, unlike me...

And please pass this on to friends and family, even acquaintances. LOL. Thanks so much!

I did check the vote count and saw that Sweet Pea had suddenly received an enormous lot of votes. If you remember, I felt bad because she had so few, in the beginning. I actually thought of voting for her, myself... Something is definitely going on here, but I'm damned if I can figure out what it is. This always seems to happen overnight. The last time I looked, Meneken had a slight lead...:shrug:

Thanks for posting this new thread. The other one had gotten a little unwieldy, mainly because I insisted on thanking everyone for each vote. But I do really appreciate it, and most of them are my friends...:-)

And thanks for quoting my original post. I also cross-posted in the Pets Group. I've only had two replies, but that doesn't mean that people didn't see it or didn't vote. If they'd rather vote for Sweet Pea or one of the kitties, I don't mind, since I'm not posting this to twist arms, but I doubt that 100 DUers suddenly voted for Sweet Pea in an hour...:eyes:

The only thing is that, on some computers, the pets appear in a single column, which was pointed out on my original thread, and that's the way it appeared to me at home. Meneken is the 12th down, if it appears this way, which I saw for myself. But I think that the name and the description of my little guy is sufficient. I hope that people see this and like him enough to vote for him.:-)

on edit: I just checked again and Tobie, the little Yorkie, suddenly has 100 more votes! I'm not kidding! I don't know how or why this is happening, but nobody can contact friends or vote this fast, especially at this hour... x(

Edited to add I know how your opponent is getting votes. They're cheating as well.

If anyone beats that total then there is definitely something fishy (well, besides Meneken's total) going on here.

Cali won last month with around 340 votes.
