I sold my car
even though I really don't need it where I live (big city with good public transportation) I feel kinda sad to give it up. But I still always had the chance to hop in and drive when I wanted and needed to. Now I am totally reliable on public transportation. Or I need to rent a car.

2. Since I barely drove it the past years
it is good for me. I save money. But at the same time I kinda feel sad. It is strange. There are definitely more plus points in selling it than not.

15. I've usually missed vehicles I've sold.
Even if I like the new one better, or if selling
it was a really good thing.

It's kinda like sayin goodbye to an old friend.
Of course, the fact that I always NAMED them didn't help! :silly:

16. LOL
no, naming doesn't help that. Further down you see what kind of car I had.

This evening I took out all my personal stuff and put in the winter tires. That was it. Tomorrow it will get picked up.

3. I remember you said you were thinking about selling it....
...and public transportation is so good over there, that owning a car can be more of a pain in the ass than not having one.

4. The biggest pain in the ass was
to find a parking spot where I live. One was always glad to find one.

it wasn't the hardest decision in my life. I was thinking about it two years already.

14. I am gonna see it the last time this evening
I have to take my stuff out of it and put the winter tires in (not that they are of any use anymore).

I am not allowed to drive it anymore. In Germany you have to get an offical thorough check-through every two year to get a placette. If it is out of date, you are not allowed to drive your car. Mine ran out in September. So no long last drive. Just up the road some yards to get in front of my apt to put in the tires.

17. I said goodbye to my bicycle on Tuesday.
I went into the shop to pick it up and instead was told that the frame was bent and twisted beyond use, a total loss. I'm waiting to hear from the manufacturer about my replacement.
