How much can you bench press? |

2. I hate the bench press. Chest press, on the other hand... |
|
...about 145 at 5x5 sets/reps.

3. I stopped doing my weight training in the gym |
|
Now I just go out into the gym parking lot and throw cars around to work up a quick sweat and than I got eat rocks and shit gun powder.
For my Regular 8-10 rep sets I do 165 right now if my math is right, I use to be really into weight training then it quite frankly just got boring. I'm still consistent enough to make progress though so who knows maybe I'll break 200 in half a year.

This one: http://www.powertecfitness.com/workbench_lev_gymw.htmThe leverage reduces the load considerably so with free weights it would probably be about 20 pounds. ;-)

13. Free weights and a flat bench, 405 a couple times |
|
I mostly use dumbells for chest though, as I find I get a better stretch and better isolation with them.
I do 275 for reps on an incline bench, and I don't use the decline bench.
BTW, dude, a bench press amount is just a number. Measuring strength is normally done using a percentage of your bodyweight. Also, your 60 pounds is on what apparatus? Flat bench? If so, are you also taking the bar into consideration (an Olympic bar weighs 45 lbs in and of itself). Is it on a Universal machine? Nautilus? 60 lbs on one machine isn't 60 on another. It's just where the pin goes. You might be much stronger than you think!

I weigh 175, though.
My goal is 300, because I was nearing there at one point in my life, way back in the college days.
Rollins once said "The way to tell how strong a guy is would not be to ask how much he can bench, but how much he can squat and dead lift." I wonder if there's any merit behind that.

I can leg press that much, but wow.
I have no idea what I can bench press, because I don't bench press.
