Good Monday Morning

How was your weekend? Mine was quiet. I got my apt. in order (I even washed my curtains :wow:) and I cooked a yummy Bolognese :9 Yesterday evening a friend came by and we had a nice dinner and time together.

So what were you up to?

1. Guten Morgen

I did nothing but sleep this past weekend. I slept all day Saturday and all day Sunday. I worked a 12 hour shift Friday into Saturday morning - I was so tired plus my body is not yet used to my new work hours. I am wide awake now about to wave my hair. Its good that I am up at this hour - since I need to get used to it.

25. Yeah after my first week I am alright.

The people are cool so far. I never knew my place of work could be so QUIET. Its a total 180 from what I was used to for nearly 2 years. I see the people in my old department for about 2-3 hours and then they go home. I do miss them - a lot but it was time for me to move on to something else because I have goals to achieve.

and it was rather warm here too. But this week the temps will drop a lot down to the 40s

The only down side was, in my field, there are some steps one has to take when changing companies that can put a stop to getting cases until every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed.

Hard for me to get excited most Mondays, especially this one! It's currently 1C here in Kiev, with a light drizzle. That's 34F in USA speak. But that's what happens at 50 degrees north this time of year.

But hey, can't complain. My son went away for the weekend, so things were quiet. The volleyball group I organized met the first time yesterday and had a grand old time, then we walked down to a pub on Independence Square for a few cold ones. Good to be around a group of English speakers for a change!! Although I was the only one yesterday from the North America side of the pond. Then went to my wife's father's place for more food and drink. So, I'm hurting a bit this afternoon, but it was worth it.

I've hung out the last five years at another liberal site, but recently, the administrator screwed around with it (to make his job easier, no doubt) and now it's just not the same. :crazy:

Had over a thousand posts there over the years, but now I'm a newbie again.
