1. I think you would have gotten more responses

Had it been about Bonnie Tyler, Laura Branigan, or some other wretched disco queen from the 1980s.

EDIT: I forgot to throw in James Blunt. Despite the fact that he clearly sucks, people seem to think his music is some sort of earnest reflection of reality. It isn't. No more than Wham's "I'm Your Man" was.

"It says nothing to me about my life..."

2. Jesus Christ.
So great. Devo, Gary Numan, Gang of Four, Au Pairs, Pere Ubu, X, the Cramps, Magazine, Klaus Nomi, XTC, Wall of Voodoo, OMD, Chelsea, and a few others who weren't so good, but what a stellar line-up.

Really, I forget all who was in it because it was such an extreme embarrassment of riches. Incredible.

3. And it's on the TV, so you can mute it when the Police come on.
Or UB40, or one of those other bands that kinda really sucked.

6. I thought they'd play it again, but I don't see it listed.
I should have posted this earlier.

It's criminal this hasn't been released on DVD.

9. If they'd release DVDs of "Urgh" and "Square Pegs"...
...I'd never have to think about anything new ever again!

10. I work at Warner Bros. and we re-mastered a 5.1 version for HDNet.
I don't know if they ever showed it or not. We have the 5.1 music stored in our computer at work and when things get slow, we crank it -- even the Police!! (Police fan, here.)

So many great performances -- I love XTC, Steel Pulse, The Cramps, Wall of Voodoo, X, Echo and the Bunnymen...unbelievable selection of bands.

Why is it not on DVD?!?!?!?

I live in fear that my tape will break someday.

16. I used to go see it all the time in high school
Now you have to put a $100 deposit on your credit card to rent it a Scarecrow Video here. So hang onto that tape!
