2. My son and I went to Old Navy today, to get him a new hat and gloves.
As we walked into the store, we saw two displays of Christmas-themed t-shirts, and a display surrounded by Christmas trees and Christmas ornaments.

"Why're they talking about Christmas, Mom?" he asked. "It's not December."

Smart kid. He's 4.

3. Home Depot put out Xmas trees last week.
And I heard someone in the grocery store yesterday talking about what he wanted for Xmas. sheesh!

Don't get me wrong. I love the holiday season but there has to be some limits to it or soon it will be Xmas all year long.

Does the early talk about Xmas confuse your 4 year old? Time is different for little kids and I wonder if they think Xmas is just around the corner or maybe the season is just too long for little ones to stay excited about it all any more.

6. I do think it's too early for him -
Christmas is nearly two months away. That's practically an eternity to a four-year-old.

4. Mega supermarket in the area has had Xmas trees up for weeks
Funnily enough, with a sign in front of them--"Some of our customers prefer to do their Christmas shopping early. We put up Christmas displays early to give our customers a choice." Yeahhhhhhhright.

:puke:

7. We put up Christmas merchandise at work last week.
And started playing the overhead Christmas music on Sunday. I'm ready to jab out my ear drums already.
