Nieces and nephews are wonderful!

My sister gave birth to her second child, her first daughter, last Friday, a month before term. It was breech, so she ended up having an emergency c-section. Both mother and daughter are doing fine now. My sister already has a 2 1/2 year old boy, who's extremely charming and good-tempered. Anyway, in my exuberance at becoming an aunt for the second time, I want to declare how wonderful nieces and nephews are. I don't have any children myself, but with my nephew, and now my niece, I get the joy of seeing children grow up, seeing them explore the world. I get to spoil them, and spend time with them. Yet I can, in most cases, hand them back to their parents when they misbehave. I don't have to worry about the everyday stuff, yet I get to share their triumphs.

Besides, her dad thinks she looks like me!
