You're buying into the GOP spin that Kerry was talking to the troops. He wasn't - look at the context: he was talking about the President immediately prior. Just add the word 'us' and his meaning becomes clear: '...and you get stuck in Iraq' becomes 'you get US stuck in Iraq'.

If Dems have to distance themselves from Kerry to win their elections, so be it. But he does NOT have to apologize to the troops since he was not talking about the troops. He's been a staunch supporter of veterans and veterans affairs since the 70s.

He did not find this persuasive, but did acknowledge my last point. At least I got it off my chest.

I heard the same crap on Bill Press this morning and couldn't believe he was falling for the right wing crap too. I have become a bit pissed off about this whole thing because I live in a world full of idiots.
