It's time for me to admit and the world to know - *I* killed Dietrich Bonnhoeffer
I'm not proud of it; I truly thought I was on the side of right; I believed in the dream. We tried to cover up the execution so that no one would really know which one of us killed him - but I secretly set it up so that it would be me. Like I said, I really thought I was on the right side, and I was fanatically obsessed with having the honor, even if I were the only one to really know it, to be the one who killed the traitor Dietrich Bonnhoeffer.

But there. Now I've said it, and, gosh, do I ever feel better. An awful, awful load of guilt has been lifted by admitting to my sin. I feel like a new person. I should have offered myself at Nurnberg, but I continued, for decades, to fight for what I believed in and as God is my witness, I was sure that the defeat was only temporary.

Thanks, everyone, for allowing me to offer this confession on this, All Soul's Day.

3. Depends on what part of the world one is in, and what form of Christianity.
Some traditions put all souls and all saints on Nov. 1, and just the mix the two, calling it variously either "All Souls Day", "All Saints Day" or "All Souls/Saints Day".

And: in some parts of the world - a majority of it, in fact, at the time I type this - the date is already Nov. 2.

But thanks for piping in on a thread with nothing but a pretentious attempt at correcting a) something that isn't wrong, and b) irrelevant to the topic of the thread anyway.

I tire of your vapid and incessant "criticisms" over the last few months.

If I bother you that much, just ignore me. I can't believe you spend this much time finding shit to "nail" me on.

For fuck's sake, just ignore me. Get a life.

JVS: God be merciful to you and strengthen your faith.

You: Amen.

JVS: Do you believe that my forgiveness is God's forgiveness?

You: Yes.

JVS: Let it be done for you as you believe. In the stead and by the command of my Lord Jesus Christ, I forgive you all your sins: In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit.

You: Amen.
