Poll question: Who is finished with their Christmas/holiday shopping?
Well, I'm getting there. I still have a few things left to buy, and everything to wrap. But I'm almost finished!

2. I'm usually almost finished by now
I try and have most of the shopping done before the baking starts, but this year I'm behind. The wrapping is another story entirely. Two days, almost nonstop, just before Christmas. At least the days of assembling Little Tykes stuff are over...

5. I usually wrap right at the end too
Unless it's something I have to ship, of course.

3. This is a joke, right?
I have gotten new jammies and robes for my kids, and I've ordered the scooters they wanted. I haven't gone any further than that.

I have NO idea what to get my sister and BIL.

8. Oops, nope, not a joke.
I just like to get it taken care of early, and then I can enjoy the holiday season without stressing! :)

10. Ah, I knew you weren't joking...
but I was. :)

On the plus side, we're keeping the children's things VERY simple this year, because they'll get a boatload of stuff from their grandparents.

11. LOL!
I did procrastinate for years - until I realized how much it made me hate the holiday season. Now I get all the shopping out of the way early and I can enjoy myself.

14. I'm really crying because it is so cold.
On the plus side, I have a handicapped tag so shopping won't be as miserable as it was last year.

15. Freak. You're missing the best part of Christmas...
the fistfights in the Wal-Mart.

Ahh, nothing says Merry Christmas like Grandma taking one in the throat while clawing her way through a crush of bodies to claim the last TMX Elmo.

17. I only send a few items to my mother and MIL
I don't do any other Xmas shopping. I stopped giving and receiving gifts years ago. The holidays are now so much more fun. I have time to do the things I want to do like bake and decorate and, most of all, relax!

19. Same reason I get the shopping out of the way early...
I love the carols, the decorating, the baking, the lights. I want to enjoy all that and not be stuck in a mall. :)

22. I have 2 small items left to pick up
I'm actually late this year, I'm usually done before Nov. so I can enjoy the holidays at my own pace.

Any shopping in Nov. & Dec. is for me. I'll pick up items on sale that I've been wanting for myself. That way I get to enjoy the sights & sounds of the holiday season without the pressure of finding the right gift. It's a much more relaxing experience that way.

We must fight the War on Christmas here by saying "Holiday Season shopping" or "December Holiday shopping"
