Unfortunately, I don't think white flour is a huge improvement over sugar, but at least it was a little easier to stop when I was getting full.

1. I had a Caesar salad.

Somehow, I think I'd've rather had the pumpkin bread.

2. I went for toast and jam.

It was perfect. I polished off the last slice of the Rudi's Organic Artisan French bread, with a little Earth Balance and some raspberry jam spread on just half.

3. Isn't high fructose corn syrup worse than sugar?

Not that either is very good for us, but I think I read that when one eats high fructose corn syrup, the body doesn't get a feeling of being full so we keep eating.

4. Yeah, HFCS is supposed to be worse.

It wasn't an issue in this case, I made a loaf of pumpkin bread with turbinado sugar. It's just that I used white flour, which isn't precisely health food.
