1. Sounds really fun
I just had a total meltdown for the past hour on how to kill this gigantic spider in the hallway. It had cornered me in the computer room, and I couldn't get out! It was out for me I think. One of my dogs twisted it's leg or something, so it only had 7 legs, but it could still move pretty fast. I eventually called me mom, the broadway play she was at just ended, and she told me to drop a ream of paper on it. I'm not sure what's worse. The fact that I had an emotional meltdown over how to kill a spider or the fact that I used a whole ream of paper to kill a spider :).

6. I had that same meltdown with a roach a few nights ago.
I have a phobia of roaches as bad as other people react to spiders or snakes. Can't conquer it. Conquered spiders, but can't beat this one.

So the other night I'm reading in bed and I hear a light thump on the bed next to me. Roach! I screamed like Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies, scrambled out of bed, and let my cat in the room hoping she'd save me. The roach crawled under a pile of clothes in the corner (they were waiting to be sorted). So I knew I could not sleep with that thing that close to bed, and I knew no one would come save me. So I got a short pole, and picked up each article, one by one, shaking each, and making sure my cat was nearby.

Never found it. Later that night my cat went crazy attacking the pile with my socks, so I figured it would be in there, but when I sorted through them (yes, with the pole), I saw no sign of the roach. Now I jump at every shadow movement. Sigh.

Luckily, I'm moving to a new apartment at the end of the month. Much easier than taking care of a roach!

7. Sounds like it was fun and you got a lot of sleep!
I just have a fear of bugs. I'm not sure about snakes, as the closest I've come to a snake is with it in a glass cage and the top on. But roaches. There's just something about their shell. I couldn't imagine that. I probably would never fall asleep, and just sit there in my bed worrying about it all night, then wake up and run away quickly hehehe. But then again, you can't run too far in your pajamas :)

9. I could run further
if I wore pajamas!

I lived in a roach-infested house as a kid. I got swarmed by them one night, and I've had a phobia since then. It's only the big ones, what we used to call "Flying cockroaches" and others call Palmetto roaches or wood roaches. The little things don't bother me. I was already creeped out by them before the swarming incident, but since then... I have to really steel my nerves to even look at them on camera or in a container. I'll find dead ones or parts of ones when I'm cleaning out a closet (lots of roaches in Texas) and even that will send me into a reaction, though not as extreme as when live ones land on the bed next to me.)
