2. Thanks, Suich! Yes, it was sunny and VERY hot!

Now that we're out of the heat, and back in Portland, OR, my husband just turned on the gas fireplace and claimed he was cold at 68 degrees F.

And so begins the yearly incompatibility -- he hates the cold and I love it.

How did we find each other?

3. Flying out of Orlando at night

was an awesome sight;

4. The whole state is so flat and sandy -- except for the central hills.

We enjoyed our stay, although the weather was a bit hotter (maybe 10 degrees?) than we had anticipated -- in the 90s every day October 7 - 23. The last two days, Oct. 24-25, the highs slipped to the 70s.

Our next trip will be in December 2007.

5. I am going to Florida Friday

for two months with my kids

My six year old identical twin grandsons are very anxious to take me to Disney so they can take gramma on some rides :scared:

Those little guys are not afraid of anything

Seriously, you and your family will always cherish those memories. I especially enjoyed the pool scenes...isn't water great...and so therapeutic? I saw you doing pool stretches...good for you!!!

Thank you for sharing these! I love the jet w/the contrail! What a great shot...talk about the luck of being in the right place at the right time. As much as I've traveled, I have yet to ever capture that.

p.s., As far as the above comment about how you like the cold but your husband likes it warm......Don't you know...opposites attract! :-)

10. Nice, brings back memories.

I used to live in the Orlando/Kissime/St. Cloud are. Lived in a house on Alligator Lake. Been many a year since i was there, so i needed a reminder. I also lived in Melbourne/Coco beach area, right off Indian Atlantic. I used to love watching the big ships go down the river from the front yard. I loved a lot about Florida, diving, swampin', air boatin', and all. I just found the heat, and bugs were very, very hard on me.

Great to see you had a nice time, and thank for the memories you help bring back.
