Question about Photobucket: Resizing.
I just uploaded some pics into my Photobucket account and they're too big. I tried the resizing feature in 'Edit', but when I copy and paste the jpeg into a forum field and click 'Preview', it looks the same size as before. I don't want to size it down too far, 'cause I won't be able to upsize it again. So how does the resizing take effect? Do you have to log out of your account, then back in again?

Help.

OK, here's the scoop.......I use the message board size for the pic downsizing.

Sometimes the pic still looks big after I've posted it......but I don't think it is.

And if you do downsize it too much, just delete it, and start over. I've done that.

Does that help?

On edit: You can preview the downsized pic in Photobucket merely by clicking on the pic itself. That should show you what size it really is.

2. Message board size is what I downsized it to.
It's still too big when I preview it.

3. I don't know what to tell you......
Sometimes they look big after I've posted them....you know, here...

And then after I've turned off my computer and gone away, and then come back...

They have magically become the size I want!

I can't figure it out......

10. That's because it's hasn't updated in your cache.
Hold ctrl and refresh the page, that'll reload it as the resized version. Anyone who hasn't seen the original sized picture will just see the resized version without having to refresh.

12. It used to work fine until they changed a while ago...
...but I've noticed this same problem. Now I just reduce mine in PaintShop and save a small version which downloads onto PhotoBucket just fine.
