Doorbell rings. "What are you having for dinner?" |
|
 I laughed my ass off.
Doorbell rang and it was the two little girls from next door. And their babysitter. We're kind of grandparents-in-residence.
The oldest, 5, says "What are y'all having for dinner? All Natalie (the babysitter) can make are cheese sandwiches and mac & cheese in the microwave. Are y'all having anything better than that?"
Well honey, we're having beef stew.
"Oh...OK...(dejected frown) I guess we'll have mac & cheese."
So...what's for dinner at YOUR house? Something better than yucky ol' beef stew? ;-)

1. Yuck! You old people eat funny food. |
|
She probably was hoping for an answer like "ice cream and cake."

2. Gotta say it's one of our 'blander' nights. |
|
The evening menu is usually a bit more exotic. :-)

3. I used to hope to eat at my grandparent's house when |

I'd come home from school and smell cabbage cooking. UGH!
Tonight at our house: Beef Curry with Rice.

I suppose I could make more, but I'm thinking maybe a cake, or some brownies or something like that.

and baklava from Trader Joe's.
While we're on the subject of TJ's -- why don't they have a peanut satay sauce?
