One of my babies is going out to vote for the first time tomorrow. |
|
She's going to go before she goes to school so she can wear the "I voted" sticker all day.

That's where the phrase "engines of democracy" comes from. One of my kids wrote a memoir of her early experiences on voting day in her blog and I was stunned at how much she remembered. They didn't really understand everything that was happening, but they knew that voting was important.

I told her that if she does nothing else, she absolutely MUST VOTE FOR AMY KLOBUCHAR.

I was exactly three months too young in 2004.
Don't know when I'll get around to it. I'm pretty busy from 7AM-4:30PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but hopefully I'll be able to squeeze it in fairly early in the day.
:woohoo:
