It was a 'canned' call - but earlier a 'real' person called for another Repuke - and since I'm on the National No Call list, I advised her that they were liable for a hefty fine.

So far I've gotten calls from Arnold, Hillary, Dennis, Robert Redford and a host of other organizations. It's truly freakish how many there have been....and we're on the Nat'l No Call list, too, come to think of it. :eyes:

But it is not too difficult for people in power to figure out what numbers have been issued/activated by certain cell phone service providers.

(that's where I live), and the recorded ones are coming from all sorts of area codes I don't recognize, so I don't pick up. The machines always leave a message.

17. i got 9 robo calls in 3 days from same asshole running for city council

the last one just sent me over the top. I finally tracked down his campaigns phone number, called them and i almost feel bad for the fool that answered my call, that was followed up by a few emails from the candidate himself saying "I had to send those calls to counteract the negative ones being made about me" The problem, i never got one negative call about him. Yes he's a republican.
