12. I learned from my mom. A greater follower of Christ there never was.

She was an unbelievably tireless worker for Christ. She would, literally, get out of bed in a snow storm to meet some unfortunate little thing who needed formula and diapers at Stop and Shop.


Being in VA, It drove me fucking crazy that she would do that. I finally struck a deal with her and the local stop and shop. I gave them my CC# and when the person called my mom, she would clear them and then call the store. Small price to pay for peace of mind. My dad was sick and she wasn't in the best of health either.

The folks could get the groceries they wanted/needed and my mom was safely ensconced in her condo.
And, I could sleep easy.
