I just finished watching "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" on TCM
I've seen it 20 or so times and it never fails to get me misty at the end. Jimmy Stewart is great of course, but Harry Carey playing the President Of The Senate is genius; a classic case where his facial expressions paint a thousand pictures. What a great role...

A good way to start out Election Day:)

2. I had never seen this movie until a couple of months ago.

3. What I like about this movie...
is that although everybody thinks it's really sappy (Capra-corn) they called it, if you look at it as a cynic, it can be really, really dark and depressing.
