ANKARA, Turkey -- A man from Turkey claims he's the real Borat.

Mahir Cagri, 44, said comedian Sacha Baron Cohen based Borat on him, and he wants an apology and money. Cagri became a cyber celebrity after posting a personal Web site in 1999.

Cagri is traveling to London hoping to meet with Cohen and demand a cut of the profits from the "Borat" movie that made $26 million in its first weekend alone.

Cagri said "the whole world knows" Cohen is "copying" him. He said he's gotten e-mails from Americans who back him up.

Cohen has said he based Borat on a doctor he met in Russia.
