Many animals are self-aware. Many of them have emotions, feel pain. To quote the line in the Disney movie, "My mom can talk to the animals, and she says they really don't like being eaten."
I'm a vegan.
Oh, hey, if you're an environmentalist, you REALLY want to give up the animal protein. Nothing fucks up the environment more than meat, dairy, and egg production.
