Well, celebration is over. GD has decided.
:eyes:

We're now suppose to argue over impeachment and convince registered Greens why they should vote Democratic in 2008.

Yep. I couldn't make stuff like this up. :eyes:

1. Argument is GD's life. It's in their blood.

3. I don't really like arguing.
It gets my blood pressure up and then I start shaking and then I make a wonderful rant about something that takes 1 hour to write and alot of MSN messages and meditation to make sure I know what i'm talking about.

4. People get so silly and make the most nonsensical points.

And then change the subject and try to be clever in an attempt to insult you. Very rovian. :eyes:

I braved it for a while, but I'm simply getting bored with the utter silliness. And I'm laughing so hard, I may bother my neighbors.

10. It's to early for the greenwars.
I hate those threads:

"F**** green traitor"
"Anti-democratic shill"
"Traitor"
"You hate freedom"

and on and on and on without a cognitive thought in the mix.
:banghead:

11. "They" are right.
Mainly, what we've won is opportunity. If we just coast like the R's did, the same deep corruption will mark this era of Democratic control.

We need to get to work on our reps even before they take office, and make sure that the first and last voices they hear every day are ours, not those of lobbyists.

12. The Still, Small Voice of Reason.
THANK YOU.

You know what we need on this board? A link to a free online course in CIVICS, AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, and POLITICAL SCIENCE.

The Green Party vote almost cost us a seat or two that we won. We don't need close elections. I wish we had PARLIAMENT not CONGRESS but we don't.

If wishes were horses...

13. We seem to be eating our own as well.
Christ, I can't believe all of the ragging on Rahm Emanuel. Christ, maybe there can be discussion about his effectivness later. But can't we just celebrate this tremendous victory? Without the recriminations?

14. Impeachment is foolish
I know that the knee-jerk reaction is to get the fuckers, but in order to really keep things going is to pass legislation that will really help the people like the minimum wage increase, health care stuff like that. Endless investigations are going to be like the repub's with Clinton and that didn't work out that well for them, it just pissed everybody off.

19. Anyone who doesn't want impeachment RIGHT FUCKING NOW
is CLEARLY a DLC operative seeking to DESTROY the gains we made in the elections this week. After all, impeachment was THE NUMBER ONE REASON why people went to the polls and voted in Democrats. Furthermore, though I provide no proof of what I say YOU MUST PROVE ME WRONG. I don't have to back up anything.
