I just decided which job to take.

Co. A offered $XX salary, with a 37.5 hour work week.

Co. B will offer $XX salary, with a 35 hour work week.

Hourly, Co. B is offering more money than Co. A.

Co. B's benefits are better.

The facilities at Co. B are much lighter (I'd get depressed working in dark green carpet, dark green walls, and black marble). And they're newer.

A dear friend from my old firm just popped up outta nowhere after my first interview at Co. B -- and told the HR director, "Hire this woman immediately."

So (regardless of my earlier post, which I pulled), I'm taking the job with Co. B.

And I am GRATEFUL. And will pay it forward.

BTW, the man who needed a poncho? And the man who bought a cigar? That drugstore was a block away from the office when I went in for my second interview at Co. B.

Is that still considered full time?

We were told that we are expected to work 45 hours a week for our 40 hour salary. When we do accrue overtime, like on a weekend, it's paid at 1:1 hourly, because we are in that hourly/salary grey zone that corporations have managed to create for themselves.

Workers rights are human rights.
