7. That's great, because bigger babies sleep through the night sooner. |
|
Relax though, the weight gain will go slower now.

10. About sleeping or about growing? |
|
My big babies used to go through a quart of milk each when they got home from high school track! They're all taller than me now, but they're still my babies.

My son, born at 10-lb, 9-ounces had trouble sleeping all night until just this year - and he's almost five.
My second daughter, born at 9-lb, 8-ounces, is a good sleeper now but was a terrible sleeper as a baby.

12. Yikes - you must be approaching zombie status! |
|
I was lucky with mine. They were all good sleepers except for the last one who had terrible colic. Now they give colicky kids Peps cid and they're fine.

13. I had trouble sleeping for years myself - |
|
struggled with insomnia that was exacerbated by getting up at night with the kids. I definitely went through several years feeling zombie-like.
Things are better now. They sleep better and I use Ambien when I need to.

15. And don' t they usually |
|
add a pound a week in the final month and beyond if the pregnancy goes long? I've never been pregnant but that's what I've heard from others who have been.

I delivered a 40-weeker who was 10-lb, 9 ounces!
Also, if this weight estimate is based on an ultrasound, relax. Those can be off as much as a pound or two (either way, though!).

18. I was born 3 months premature, weighed 2lbs 15oz. |
|
Quickly dropped to 2lbs, 1oz.
Thanks to the marvels of 1972 technology, I survived and have prospered. I can only hope to continue to do so. I appreciate life and living, despite it all. :)
