Poll question: Just out of curiousity - do folks know how the Senate Judiciary committee works? |
|
I mean, I have found people willing to give this up in order to not have to deal with Joe Lieberman. But what really baffles the mind is when I point out the importance of having the majority in Senate Judiciary Committee, folks still think it wouldn't stop people like Alito and Roberts getting on the bench.
Are people that clueless or perhaps I'm just too much of a political junkie

:boring:
Robert Gates is giving the president his daily briefing.
He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."
"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"
His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.
Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
