Humiliated frat boys sue over "Borat" portrayal
SANTA MONICA, California (AP) -- Two fraternity boys want to make lawsuit against "Borat" over their drunken appearance in the hit movie.

The legal action filed Thursday on their behalf claims they were duped into appearing in the spoof documentary "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," in which they made racist and sexist comments on camera.

The young men "engaged in behavior that they otherwise would not have engaged in," the lawsuit says.

"Borat" follows the adventures of comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's Kazakh journalist character in a blend of fiction and improvised comic encounters as he travels across the United States and mocks Americans.

4. IMO, anybody who knowingly gets in front of a camera and mic..
...gives up all their "rights" at that moment. No films could ever be produced if every little whine baby sued because they didn't like how they looked on the big screen.

6. Does this mean that almost all movies are actually documentaries?
The young men "engaged in behavior that they otherwise would not have engaged in," the lawsuit says.

Typically, what actors do on screen is their normal daily behavior?

7. ok let me get this straight....
they were only drinking, because the movie people gave them the alcohol?

They do have a point, all the frat guys I've ever know have all been as sober as a judge.

8. If they have a case
it's not over how they appeared in the film. If this is correct...

After a bout of heavy drinking, the plaintiffs signed a release form

...I'd say the releases were invalid and 20th Century Fox had no right to use their images.

If I were a judge, that's how I'd rule — assuming everything in the story is correct and uncontested.
