The Killing Moon-Echo and The Bunnymen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnj4rn1sQ7Q

Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms
Too late to beg you or cancel it
Though I know it must be the killing time
Unwillingly mine

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

La la la la la...

1. Went to school and I was very nervous,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD0n8xnUWf8

All around me are familiar faces,
Worn out places,
Worn out faces,
Bright and early for the daily races,
Going nowhere,
Going nowhere,
Their tears are filling up their glasses,
No expression,
No expression,
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow,
No tomorrow,
No tomorrow,
And I find it kind of funny,
I find it kind of sad,
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had,
I find it hard to tell you,
I find it hard to take,
When people run in circles it's a very very,
Mad world,
Mad world,
Children waiting for the day they feel good,
Happy birthday,
Happy birthday,
AND I feel the way that every child should,
Sit and listen,
Sit and listen,
Went to school and I was very nervous,
No one knew me,
No one knew me,
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson,
Look right through me,
Look right through me,
And I find it kind of funny,
I find it kind of sad,
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had,
I find it hard to tell you,
I find it hard to take,
When people run in circles it's a very very,
Mad world,
Mad world,
Enlarging your world,

9. squee!!
Holy mother of a monkey on a stick, I love that song so much. But only the Gary Jules version.

Have you seen Donnie Darko? It is my new favorite movie, and I will be a sobbing mess during the last fifteen minutes of it, and I can't listen to that song for at least three days afterward without tearing up.

2. Remy Zero - Save Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_XbICwVJ6I

I feel my wings have broken in your hands
I feel the words unspoken inside

When they pull you under
And I would give you anything you want
Well all I wanted
All my dreams have fallen down
Crawling around somebody save me
And two warm hands break right through me
Somebody save me
I don't care how you do it
Just stay
Stay
Come on
I've been waiting for you

I see the world has folded in your heart
I feel the waves crash down inside

And they pull me under
I would give you anything you want
Well all I wanted
And all my dreams have fallen down
Crawling around somebody save me
And two warm hands break right through me
Somebody save me
I don't care how you do it
Just stay
Stay
Come on
I've been waiting for you

And all my dreams are on the ground

Crawling around somebody save me
And two warm hands break right through me
Somebody save me
I don't care how you do it
Just save me

I've made this whole world shine for
Just stay
Stay
Come on
I'm still waiting for you

6. I have the 12" single here somewhere. One of the best remixes of the 80s.
Full of gorgeous Asian strings... That and Echo's "Silver" are two of the most beautifully-produced singles since the Beatles.

8. The first two songs in this thread make me believe you're on a Donnie Darko kick, haha.
Though I don't think the third is in Donnie Darko.

Good songs though.

10. Aw, yeah!

Another Donnie Darko song! (I replied to the Mad World one first) I adore Echo and the Bunnymen, and this is one of my favorite songs by them, if not my favorite song of theirs. Love the video too. I've learned to recognize it within like one second (when you see the reflection of the moon in the water). Also? Ian McCulloch circa 1984? Is teh sex.
