I was dancing Saturday night with a friend
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 03:47 AM by MissHoneychurch
to 80s music. Loved it. We stayed till 4am.

Yesterday my grandmother called me. I told her I went dancing. Her question: "Did you had dancing partners?" "Yes grandma, I did" "Good for you, such a lovely lady has to have dancing partners"

So what were you up to this weekend?

5. That picture shows about what my grandma had in mind
with dancing partner

She is funny. She always ask me "Do you have a boyfriend?" "No grandma, I am still single" "Oh. OK. Take your time". It is hilarious.

8. Yeah, and if I know you
you were doing one of those "craze" dances like the Charleston or the Jitterbug.

Shameful. :spank:

11. Strange...
I can see you in clothes from that era — the fringed tops and skirts. And I can see you doing the Charleston.

You're the bee's knees. Wanna cut a rug?

I've never actually attempted it.

Can you shimmy? If you're wearin' that, you ought to.

How does one describe the shimmy?

Ah — one finds someone who knows how.

7. You know why Baptists can't have sex standing up?
Because it might lead to dancing.

22. Morning MissH!
Grandmas - don't ya just love 'em. I love to dance too, but don't get much of a chance to go either. I suspect the next time will be at a Christmas party. Long wait.

Sounds like you had a grand weekend, and I just adore that top.

:hi: :loveya:

24. Hey Simply
:hi:

They had a dress like that top but it didn't look good on me (short dresses ain't for me). But that top ... it was pricey but it was worth it :7

We will have a Christmas party here at work, but I rather not dance at that one x( (our males here aren't really from the nicer looking species)

My friend and I will go dancing again next week. We decided to go out and flirt like nothing else matters

26. Our Christmas
parties are pretty big. Everyone's invited, not just our department. As far as dancing, it's mostly the girls who dance. Everyone dances together, in a big group, or there are smaller pockets of groups, and occasionally a spouse, bf, or SO joins in. It's really a lot of fun. Which reminds me, I should be thinking of what to wear! Something sexy that's what I'm thinking right now. But don't worry, there's no one at work I'm attracted to, or would ever be for that matter. And, my rule is, never date a colleague.

This is my third day of no coffee and I seem to be doing fine. Drank some wonderful herbal tea yesterday while reading. Nice and relaxing.

Gotta head out to work. Wishing you a grand day.

23. When I was in Germany....
...with most of the German clubs that I went to, there were women dancing with other women and alone as none of the German men would dance. Maybe they didn't like to dance? It was very frequent and at a lot of different clubs.

And...you were probably dancing to the same music I was 22 years ago. :hi:

25. It is still the same
for some reason German guys have problems talking to us women  When I go to a club where there are American soldiers ... a totally different matter.

They played good music Saturday. I grew up in the 80s. I wasn't quite sure if I enjoyed remembering the songs or if I should feel old

27. It was great for us single guys
I didn't like the American clubs on post as most young g.i.'s get a little too rowdy when they drink so I was always out on the town and even used to travel around to the smaller villages that had nice discos around Frankfurt. Some clubs wouldn't even let more than one male American soldier in their clubs unless they were with a lady friend.

All my girlfriends when I lived there were German too ;-)

it sucks sometimes. But my friend and I decided to go out more often and flirt like nothing ... who does it hurt?
