Make me feel better- who else overslept?
I set my alarm, but neglected to turn it ON, and ended up making NoelMN late for school. I woke up to several inches of snow, and SophieMN told me I'd better go take a nap on the couch, because my "eyes look really crabby." x(

Ahhh, sweet Monday- ripe with potential and promise (that I'll hose up most mundane matters, anyway.)

1. This is exactly what I like about working 3rd shift...
I can sleep in everyday and not have to wake up to an alarm. I anticipate alarms, waking up 3 hours before it sounds, then 2, 1, and finally about 15 minutes. What is funny about being able to sleep in is that I don't sleep more than 7-9 hours and it is nice to wake up naturally when I am ready. For me, the only thing different about 3rd shift is that I sleep during the time I used to be working when I was on days.

4. Yeah. I'm the farthest thing from a "morning person."
I am dead until the alarm goes off, and even still, it often takes me ten minutes of beeping or a hollering kid, before I hear it.

5. That's what I thought.
Where slack is concerned, once AGAIN, I'm an overachiever. <sigh> The pressure of being exceptional is SO overwhelming.

3. Oh, I did!
I had the alarm set for 8:25 for some danged reason. Since I didn't fall asleep until just before four I'd still be sleeping now if it weren't for my secondary alarm a.k.a. my boy Henry.

wakinguptoofastandrunninglikeamadperson feeling. At least I have good coffee and nowhere to be, for a few hours!:bounce:

Usually I do only one cup; this morning it's two. I'm supposed to be playing the piano but instead I keep moving between it and the computer. And I'm typing really, really fast!

Last night, mine went on a lengthy tirade about how gross it is when grown-ups kiss.

21. This probably isn't what you want to hear but
I wish I could oversleep. I'm a morning person. I love the morning. But I sometimes wish I could sleep later than I do... especially on weekends. But regular as clockwork I'm awake at 6:30! And it doesn't matter what time I go to bed I wake up at the same time.

On the very bright side the temps here are in the high 70s! No snow to worry about. :7

32. Meh. S'okay.
I went to the store and replenished our stock of toilet paper, SophieMN zonked out on the couch, and my boys are at school. I have class to look forward to tonight, so things aren't bad. Perhaps we'll all fare fabulously tomorrow, after getting the kinks out today!

35. I overslept, and almost missed a deployment...
...in the Navy, that's the quickest way to lose rank available. Luckily, a buddy on the ship kept calling and calling until I woke up. We lost power and
the clock reset. Not technically my fault, but it wouldn't have mattered.
