6. It's a Sony - I use Altrac3 48bit on all my songs

I have 5500 on there now and only a quarter of it has been used. I didn't really need all the TV stuff!

My 1gig MP3 Sony I got just shy of 600 songs on it. Their claim was 695 based on 4min songs compressed to 48bits, but then again I'm a classic/prog rock fan so there was at least a dozen songs over 30 minutes on there.

I've yet to hear any difference in sound quality but the downside is I'm pretty much committed to Sony products since I haven't found any other player that can play Altrac3

8. I used to play the "Top Gun" soundtrack in the SM office at STNJ all the time.

It used to piss off one of the other SMs, but I figured that if she insisted on lighting the place with reptile heat lamps, I could play my found copy of the "Top Gun" soundtrack over & over.
