11. She asked me what would be the consequences if she

disobeyed my "no". I told her she'd be grounded until she was eighteen. The thing is, I can't think of a really great reason NOT to let her get pierced, except for the foolish judgements made by other people. Simply because she doesn't fully understand what they might be, I'm saying no. Even if I said yes her Dad would prevent it from happening anyway. Sigh.

15. I don't have the eyebrow ring anymore, but I have my lip pierced.

And am going to start stretching my earlobes next month.

If she does decide to get it done, make sure she goes to a professional piercer, and not a salon or anything. Piercing guns = all kinds of bad.

16. Yeah, I do know that about going to a professional.

I've seen the earlobe stretching around here (Maine!) so it must be practically mainstream :) The first time I saw it I didn't recognize that there were holes in the lobes... I just thought this really gorgeous guy was wearing his grandmother's button earrings. But I asked to take a look and realized what it was. V. interesting. Good luck with that, and don't stretch too fast (ouch)!

29. He has two very large stones in the damaged kidney...

I'm a little worried. He's having a scan this morning. Those can't be passed (they're over 15 mm) so he has two options. Surgery or that laser blasting thing. The side affect of the laser blasting is more damaged tissue which would create the need for removal of the kidney. He's got a decision to make. :hug: Thanks for asking.

She's been begging me to donate for her and I really didn't want to. Then I decided that there were way worse things than my kid wanting to hang out where I hand out. :D We're trying internet usage in moderation. And this site is a very good civics lesson. I tell her she shouldn't just hang out in the Lounge but should attempt to read at least the front page of LBN... Of course, she listens to me.
