So I'm watching Spike TV, and I see this male enhancement infomercial, hosted by Ron Jeremy. That got me thinking: since he's in the adult entertainment business, and he is one unattractive human being, how can any of those females who "have relations" with him do it?

why is Ron Jeremy (who apparently has a significant package) doing an ad for male enhancement pills?

8. He has a biographical documentary movie out, if you're really interested |
|
It's called "Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy"tagline: "The Hardest Working Man In Show Business" Ron's had some "legit" movie roles, too, but they are far overshadowed by his prolific legacy as "ordinary-looking man with big penis".

I was just basing this on his looks period. I mean, would a hot woman like the ones he sleeps with actually go for a guy with Ron Jeremy's looks (if he weren't famous) or go for an "average" joe like us?

13. Well, you have to consider the underlying motivational themes |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 04:32 AM by 0rganism
Most of us do not live in the Porno Universe. Job interviews rarely if ever become wild sexual events. The pool cleaner comes by to clean pools, not fondle clitori. The UPS guy delivers parcels, and keeps his penis in his pants. People in restaurants prepare, serve, and eat food, rather than hot steamy sex. Ron Jeremy's film content, were it applied to "real life" rather than the Porno Universe, would certainly be anomalous.
But even within the Porno Universe, Ron is an anomaly -- and a wildly successful one, too. I attribute this to his tireless service of the Ultimate Pornographic Attainment: graphic depiction of fantasy fulfilled. Ron is popular BECAUSE he looks like your typical middle aged fat guy, not in spite of it. More than another interchangable film stud, he is a HERO to middle-aged fat guys everywhere, for his fantastic sexual exploits. He's like the hobbit who can bring the ring to the mountain of fire -- an unlikely protagonist who succeeds in defiance of tremendous odds.
And we have to keep in mind who the primary consumers of pornography are: middle-aged fat guys.
As for the women, hell, they're working for money. They get paid to screw on film, and Ron Jeremy's movies can certainly make money. It's really quite reasonable, if you think about it for a while.
P.S.: "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming."

now I dread turning into the "middle-aged fat guy." I'm going to do something now to try to prevent those inevitabilities. :(
Thank God I got 20+ years before that happens. :)

15. Enjoy it while you can |

But I warn you, genes will trump your workout schedule and diets in the end. Some of us are just going to get fat, and we can't do a whole lot about it. Others won't have to worry about their weight, ever. And if you age those next 20+ years, you can count yourself fortunate just making it that far. Those old people you see staggering around in nursing homes? They're the lucky ones.
Hard as it would have been for me to believe, back in the halcyon days of adolescence, sex-for-its-own-sake is far less important to me now than what is generally portrayed on TV.
Nonetheless, doctors recommend regular masturbation to decrease your risk of prostate cancer.
