I lost my ring- I'm so bummed. |
|
My husband bought me a ring, some months ago. It was a fire topaz, and although it wasn't hugely expensive, he'd saved money doing some side jobs and surprised me with it, so it was very sentimental. My fingers had shrunk a bit lately, the ring had been a teensy loose to start with, and I should have gotten it resized, but I neglected to do so. It fell off somewhere, I've no idea where, and it's gone. I'm so sad about it, and I felt awful telling him, but I needed him to check the tub drain, because I noticed it was gone after my bath. No luck there. I feel so stupid.:-(

5. The bad part is, I have a history of doing this. |

So far, I've lost diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, and my engagement ring . Those, I just misplaced- this one I actually dropped somewhere. :banghead:

2. I feel for you, Lara... |

Shortly after I was married, I almost lost my wedding ring - in a lake! I dived off the side of a boat, and I could feel the ring slipping past my final knuckle. I formed my hand into as much of a fist as I could and surfaced, where I saw my ring just barely hanging on to my finger.
Naturally, I got it resized ASAP. But I do sincerely hope your ring turns up soon.

Not much I can do but turn the house upside down. And I don't even know for certain that I lost it here.

I remember when you posted a pic of your ring. It's lovely.
I hope it turns up somewhere around the house. Good luck!

9. Oh, sweetie. That's awful. I know how much you loved that ring |
|
and the sentiment that went with it.
Say a prayer to Saint Anthony. Always, I mean, always worked for me.
Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony Please come 'round. Something is lost and cannot be found.
Seriously. Always works for me.

11. Ugh...I hate it when that happens.. |

..this will probably not make you feel any better, but I once accidentally threw away a Tanzanite ring (which also had a lot of sentimental value) while cleaning up the house. It was purchased the year before 9/11. My only solace was when I learned, later, that a lot of Tanzanite funds terrorism. Still, I know that sick-to-your-stomach feeling the moment you've realized it's gone.

12. I lost my tropical topaz ring for over a year!! It turned up under the bed |
|
and I have NO idea how it got there... it's possible the dog found it and squirreled it away? I honestly don't know. It was among some art work that was still wrapped up, that I had tucked away to hang later. It was like a miracle...
So if you noticed it gone in the house, it's still there... it's not likely it went down the drain!
It will turn up!

My ring from my grandmother just flew off my finger the other night. Luckily, it was in my living room and I heard it hit the floor.

There are few things that make you feel as bad as losing an expensive gift. :(
 I hope it turns up unexpectedly. I really hope you find it somewhere.

it isn't too hard to get them loose. Really simple procedure.
Other than that I can't help you other than looking where you use your hands ... like when you are getting out of the car or something like that.
