Yes, it's a quantifiable popularity thread of one - ME! :D

I am the champion, my friends. No time for losers, 'cause I am the champion...of DU! :D

1. Congrats and a question:
How does one play fantasy football?

2. That's what the rest of the league wants to know.
However, I will not divulge my secrets. :D

3. LOL...
not looking for your secrets. I don't know how fantasy football is played at all.

Do you pick your favorite players, make a "team" out of them, draw little players & cut them out, and play other "teams" on a restaurant table w/ a little paper football? I'm clueless.

6. You know you would have lost to me if we had played
I had way more many points this week than you did. Isotopes just had an incredible week the first week of playoffs

But after that I was one of the top scorers.

You're just dang lucky!!!

7. You're just dang lucky...
...there's a consolation bracket. In the real playoffs, I'd still be sitting on top of the world and you'd be sitting at home, not having played another game after your loss.

I rule! :D

8. Congrats Paragon
It was a good season. If there's one thing I've learned playing FF, it's that winning the regular season has nothing to do with the playoffs.

Gloat on, because next year... is another year. :-)

10. Well, it has a little to do with it...
Suck in the regular season and you ain't in the playoffs. Seeding, too.

9. Congratulations!
Hey! I finished in 3rd place in both of my leagues this year.

11. I finished 2nd in one and 6th in the DU league
...yet I finished the regular season first in both! (As I recall, you had a little something to do with the latter, David. :grr:)

I never did get to play Paragon this year. Maybe next year.

12. As my "reward"
I'd like to run the league next year. Pare the number of participants down to those who keep playing week in and week out (to a maximum of 16), and go with team defenses.

13. I agree with the team defenses.
16 is a better number. More manageable, too.

15. Everyone would at least get two defenses
...and presumably, two kickers - if they so desired in either case.

But honestly, I don't think we had that many season-long participants this year.

16. That's the way my ESPN league worked.
We only had 12 teams.

14. I like the individual player defenses!
My defense was what kept me afloat all season. I just think that there is more strategy involved. I agree with you about limiting the teams and trying to make sure people are really committed to it before they begin. In our league there was a serious divide between the good teams and the really bad ones.

17. I don't like team defenses
Because there are really only about 3-6 good team defenses out there whereas every team always has 1-2 standouts on defense.

My defenses kept me in the season when McNabb was playing average.
