Is it offensive that I don't believe Austria and Latvia....
Deserve to host the IIHF World Hockey Championships before Canada, which has never before had the opportunity?

As a Canadian, I feel that they are biased against us: The fact that Latvia and Austria -- 2 very weak hockey countries -- are getting this tournament before we are is a tremendous slap in the face.

But what do you expect? The Swiss are running yet anohter sport they're mediocre at.

Canada has not been allowed to host a hockey championship? That requires some real explanation.

2. We get the Juniors often enough...
And that's understandable, as they don't draw big crowds in Europe at all, but the fact that 2 such weak countries get them before us is an insult. By the way, are you as sick of I am of th Swiss running sports they're not good at like chess, basketball, swimming, and ice hockey? (Okay, so they're not TERRIBLE at hockey, but still. Hockey should be run by council consisting of Canada, the U.S.A, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czechia, Slovakia, and 2 wild cards based on performance).

3. Good grief!
I'm not a hockey fan at all, but even I know that Canada should host something like this - PERMANENTLY!

5. I wouldn't go that far...
But what's happening right now is a travesty.

4. I agree it's a goddamn joke
And bad business sense. Even with the Juniors Any game with Canada in it is Sold out. ANd any good game (example Finland Chezch rep) will be close to sold out. Go to Europe...no one shows except the home team fans. Really sad if you ask me.

I HOPE TO GOD VANCOUVER GETS THE 2006 JUNIOURS I HAVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE TO SEE THAT TOURNEY!
