A friend's husband is doing just that at the local Target to get some video game that's coming out. I honestly can't think of a single thing that would be worth it to me - not when it was something that I could get later. Can you?

1. Not a thing.
I can't think of a thing I'd want where I'd have to camp out overnight to buy.

2. Is that the Gears of War game?
People are getting tattoos of that game.

Some people are such suckers for marketing.

4. I'm pretty sure it is
I refused to get my kid a Cabbage Patch doll because it was such a marketing ploy - I can't believe how many suckers are born every minute.

3. I've camped out overnight three times to get a parking permit.
Denville, NJ is probably the most fucked-up suburban town in existence for parking

5. See, that makes more sense to me
That's something you need and that you can't neccessarily get unless you get it then. But it sure sucks that you'd have to do it.

6. Yeah, the whole town was 1-hour parking.
With only 30 permit spots in the buisiness district. Competition was fierce and naturally they held this in winter, so we could get hypothermia in the process.

and was wondering what all those kids were doing with sleeping bags out front. Is this for a game or a new console?

12. I camped out once..
when I was at UNC to get tickets for the Duke game (which we then won, thank you very much). I wish I could say I'm way above any of that, but I bought Guitar Hero 2 when the electronics store opened last Tuesday, so I guess I'm not. But I'm a girl, so that has to count for something, right?

14. Well, if it was a super good sale, I'd do it for an
Isabella Fiore bag. Not just any Isabella Fiore bag, because some of them are hideous. But, for one of the fabulous ones, I'd definitely do it. I get 30% off of them where I work, but even with 30% off they are still too expensive.

19. I saw people doing that at Walmart, I had a $10 gift card to spend.
This was one windy day to be camping out, one guy didn't even have a tent just a sleeping bag.

The last time I waited in line to buy tickets (that I remember) was in 1984 for Duran Duran tickets.
