can you spare some love/energy/prayers? |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-16-06 09:39 PM by kagehime
a good friend of mine lost her step-father in a nasty car accident today. he was a long-time paramedic here and damn good at it, he was heading home after getting off work. her mother, who is also a paramedic, was on shift and was called to the scene not knowing it was her husband.
i'd only seen my friend with her step-father once but it was obvious they loved each other like blood and i know this family needs all the positive energy it can get right now.

friend, and ESPECIALLY to her mother, having to answer that call as a paramedic. I simply cannot imagine the shock and grief.
My best thoughts to both of them, and to you as well. This was traumatic for you, too.
And may I take this opportunity to express my appreciation of paramedics (so many of them volunteers) everywhere. You people are saints.

I will wish for strength for her and her family in this terrible time. It's horrid to lose a family member like that.

I would think that's every paramedic's nightmare, to attend to a loved one's accident scene.
Lots of light to that family. :grouphug:

24. I'm sending you all the positive vibes I can muster. We had a |
|
similar situation in my family. One of the paramedics on call when my sister died was our cousin. When the dispatcher recognized that it was a relative, they had the good sense to have him drive rather than let him know who was in the back of the ambulance. He only found out once they reached the hospital.
