My grandmother was standing in front of our apartment door when some dude grabbed her purse. We always kept the blinds shut, so we couldn't see what was going on. All we heard was some crazy-ass fight taking place in front of our door. Since crazy-ass fights taking place in front of our apartment door was practically a daily occurance we didn't pay any attention to it. Basically, my dad and I sat there watching tv and bitching about the noise outside, while my grandmother was getting mugged outside our door. Of course, since my grandmother is a fucking psychopath the following occured...
Grandma chases the dude several city blocks. This guy ends up running into the scene of a car accident, cops grab the dude. My grandmother starts beating the shit out of the guy. Two cops had to pull her off and hold her back.
My dad worked as a "building inspector," aka the guy to bribe, and was friends with all the Union City cops. He said they finally believed him when he talked about how crazy his MIL was.

4. so it runs in the family then? |
|
hehe, just kidding, :hi:
My grandfather's sister had some dude on a motorcycle try to snatch her purse in India (we're Indian) so she hangs on to her purse and pulls him off his damn motorcycle. Then a crowd jumps on him and beats him until the cops come.
She must have been around 60 when this happened.

6. Heh. It actually does run in the family. |
|
My grandmother is the only one like that on my mom's side, but my father's side is pretty much completely a long line of people "not to be fucked with." We even had two mobsters marry in (both died of natural causes).
Both my sister & I qualify as people not to be fucked with.

8. Sounds like my mother, all 4' 10" and 85 lbs of her |
|
Working the night shift at a hospital, she gets confronted by a guy with a knife, demanding drugs and money. Little does he realize that Mom, at the beginning of her career as a nurse, disarmed and beat the living crap out of a wounded North Korean soldier who tried to take her hostage. The ending was hilarious. The guy, now disarmed and bleeding, is laying in the parking lot, screaming at the cops to arrest Mom for assault. The cop shuts him up by saying, "Well, we could arrest her, but we'd have to tell everyone at the jail, that you got beat up by somebody's mom!"
