Hey Bo! Say "HI" to Woody |
|
for all of us Buckeye fans.
I'm sure Woody will have a good 50 yard-line seat for you. Of course, in keeping with the tradition of this wonderful rivalry, it will be on the opposite side of the field.
College football lost one of it's greatest ambassadors today.
Rest in Peace Bo

3. Some people deserve a good choking every now and then |
|
It's easy to pick one negative thing out of a life-time of accomplishment and smear someone. Leave that type of smear to the Limbaugh's of the world.
Woody and Bo did more to help, encourage, give direction to, and shape the character of thousands of good and decent young men than we will ever know. Just ask the people who played for them.
This one burst of anger does not wipe out a life-time of good.

6. Like if some of us could get our hands |

around Limbaugh's or Hannity's throats for a few seconds we wouldn't.
You want to take 77 years of a good man's life and judge it by a 3 second episode involving a snotty reporter who was probably egging Bo on, go right ahead.
I take it you've never done anything wrong, or something you're ashamed of. Maybe we should judge you by that one thing and ignore all the rest of your life...especially on the day you die.
Get a life. Compassion and understanding are good values to nurture. Try them every now and then.

7. Compassion and understanding? |
|
I'm not the one excusing someone for choking another.
I'll judge people on what I damned well want to judge them, thankyouverymuch — and it'll be on their character, not how many goddamned football games they won.
Oh — and "Get a life" is so '80s.

but do you know the man? Have you read any books about his life? Do you know how many wonderful things he did for the young people that were ever associated with him?
I'm not excusing anyone's behavior. He paid for his temper the same way Woody Hayes paid for his. I'm simply saying that you should look at the total of a man's life before passing judgment.
He was a great football coach, but an even better mentor to young people.
Sounds like you're taking one incident and judging him without any knowledge what-so-ever. That's a kind way of saying "you're talking out your ass!"
Do some research. Learn a little about the man before you judge him on one event that happened in the heat of the moment.
There was only one perfect man in this world...and they crucified him.
