4. Mexican Mayan Marinade

Achiote Marinade is pinapple juice, vinegar, garlic, onions and...well achiote paste:



Wonderful wonderful stuff - made from anatto seeds (that's why it makes things bright red.)

Looks like this in the box - you can get it at many Mexican Markets



Mexican chefs also use it to marinade al Pastor

My friend and her husband own two restaurants (one serves mexican food; the other, southwest)and they have a REALLY yummy achiote chicken wrap at the latter. They also have AWESOME salsa, and I just happen to have a big tupperware container of it in my fridge that they brought me, and I haven't touched it yet!

Oh, and I had some diet pizza sandwich-thing that was rather unsatisfying, for lunch. And some water. And nicotine gum.

8. 25 hors-oeuvres, 15 main dishes and 12 desserts

It's our annual company pot-luck feast.

The hors-oeuvres are usually amazing, and one woman makes Legendary Cornbread.

I didn't eat dessert, and I'm STILL stuffed.
