Have you ever not been able to tell if you're drunk...

That's weird.

2. I know...
I haven't either...until tonight. Maybe I'm not drunk...but I should be. Maybe it's taking more than usual to feel that way. I don't know. I'm in a very strange mood tonight.

How are you Redstone?

3. Doing, I'd not say well, but reasonably OK given the circumstances. Does that
make sense to you?

My shoulder REALLY FUCKING HURTS which is why I'm up so late, and Mrs R had yet another meltdown tonight, which is part of the reason why my shoulder REALLY FUCKING HURTS, but I'm looking at a possible career change which might be beneficial in several ways, including a reduction in the pain...

Interesting times, these are. Thank you for asking.

Redstone

That also reminds me of something a friend of mine (I think it was DUer namenotneeded actually) said to me about straight edge: "It's like being Mormon, but with better music."

6. Yes.
Which was my body's way of saying that I needed to chill for a bit-by that I mean quit drinking for a few months.
This just happened the other day. Had 2 drinks and 3 shots, nary a thing.
So, I'm off it for awhile.

I don't drink a lot as it is, but did used to overindulge in my 20s of course.

15. Christmas parties w/ family.
We all know each other well, and I feel as though I'm still the same.... but after 4 glasses of wine I let it all hang out (as is the case w/50% of the relatives).

The recognition that 'You Are DRUNK' does not occur w/ comfortable family members.

I've never had this much to drink and still be coherent enough to even type. I think it's the week I've had...it would take an Anesthesiologist to knock me out!

21. What do you consider " a lot"?
A fat guy like me can have a considerably high alcohol tolerance.

23. Then I am guessing you are not an old fat guy
Normally I am a designated driver at DU, but not tonight. I felt I deserved some beer after working 10 hours today. Actually I normally work 10-11 hours a week day (I am in middle management). Since I have one day off next week I put in 11 hours today so I would not get too far behind next week.

Put it this way -- I have had way more than you but am still wide awake and alert without the benefit of any beverages containing taurine.

24. It's not so much my size...
...I've always been a "cheap drunk" so it surprised me when I didn't feel it, at first, tonight. Must be testimonial to the week I've had. Hey, don't work so hard.......cheers! :toast:

25. Working hard has it's rewards
I would like to think that one day it would manifest in the form of a promotion or a pay raise. Tonight I am satisfied with the beer.

I would never drink and drive...seen the consequences (first hand) of others doing that...I won't even go there.
