THE HAGUE (AFP) - Insouciant of police warnings, a Dutch group is reportedly set to roll the world's biggest joint, sending the previous record for a marijuana cigarette up in smoke.

The world's largest joint will be a 500-gram (17-ounce), meter-long (3.3-foot) monstrosity, rolled with cigarette paper and easily dwarfing the previous 100-gram winner, the ANP news agency said. To beat the record, it must be made entirely of marijuana with no tobacco mix.

"Afterwards we'll light it up," predicted event organizer Thijs Verheij, who is hoping his feat will land in the Guinness Book of Records. ....

I don't get over to that side of the mountains ... well... almost never. I don't know where I'm going and the traffic freaks me out. :(

Depending on the weather I *may* be going over on Friday, north of Seattle to a town called Bellingham. It looks like I'm going to be getting a girlfriend for my sugar glider from a lady in B.C. - both of ours lost their cagements and are extremely depressed and alone. Hopefully they'll be a good match, and the weather won't be too knarly for the drive. (3+ hours each way!)

I love the mountains too - and can see them from my kitchen window! That's awesome. I don't care for the trees much though. I'm a Michigan girl - and I miss the trees there.

I've heard of Bellingham. In fact, it's come up at work. My company insures a lot of homes in WA. I always enjoy looking at the pictures of the houses. It's so different.

I hope your sugar glider procurement goes well. This is the time of year where travel in and around there can be sketchy, to say the least. The Element can take it, though ;).
