If you're hosting Thanksgiving, how many people will you be hosting? 36 for us this year,
but that's not near the record; we had 45 a couple of years ago.

Mrs R loves this. She's in her element, cooking for a crowd.

13. She likes it. The more she can cook, the happier she is. As are our guests, being
that they're from the Irish side of my family, and have not had such tasty food in the past.

18. I used to love to cook. I cooked for over 150 people one Thanksgiving
along with a few other cooks. Now I get tired boiling water.

All the other cooks were Japanese and very intimidating.

8. Wow! Just wow!
I am hosting me, hubby, 2 sons, 2 brothers, 1 sister-in-law. And they are helping with the food. Do you have the traditional meal? If so, how many turkeys and where do you cook them all? Also, who peels the potatoes? I am seriously impressed!

11. Two turkeys (one on the outdoor rotisserie, one in the oven with no salt for one
of our guests who can't have salt, a ham, a dish of vegetarian lasagna for Uncle Joe who doesn't eat meat, and no peeling of the potatoes (we make them with the skins on).

Mrs R is in her glory. She truly does love to cook. And I'm her helper, because I like to see her being happy.

15. It's fun to have a cooking buddy
one of my brothers is an awesome cook, he will also carve the turkey like a pro. SIL will help with the washing up. Kitchens are most fun when everyone pitches in!
Sounds like you have a wonderful day planned, wish I could pop over for dessert just to enjoy the happy chaos that many people is bound to create!

26. We will have between 25 and 35..
We have plenty to eat, everyone brings something.

Just like last year we are eating outside on a long table, it was really fun.

Tomorrow I will smoke the huge turkey and ham, that always brings out a crowd.

I hope everyone has a good holiday.

32. Having a large crowd is fun, if everyone helps.
Today I made the dressing with some neighbors, I am still learning how but I think did pretty good.

Just getting together is fun.

We will be bringing plates to people who can't make it for various reasons, including the republicans who live next door.

They are always invited but they never come, but we still bring plates.

Everyone is welcomed, no one goes without.

They have mellowed over the years, I finally broke the ice last year.

They are learning a lot about Democrats, that we are really nice people.
