Y'know, through all the c-l-i-q-u-e stuff... |
|
it remains that we're all part of a community and many of us "know" each other. I've been reminded of this lately by some nice words from people I've never "talked" to here, or not much. One even said "I like you." That not only touched me, it surprised me — and it made me think a bit.
Outside of our circles, we may not be aware that others read our posts and develop some degree of familiarity with us. It's natural for humans to stay with groups in which they're comfortable, but once in awhile we may be reminded that our circles are not as defined as we may have thought, and we may have friends whom we weren't aware of.
Therefore, I take pride in the words, "Ich bin ein DUer."

Just one big (sometimes) happy family. I've met some nice people here. Gives you some faith in humanity after all, doesn't it?

9. Yes, it does. As long as you don't eat certain foods fried a certain way, |
|
or frequent certain restaurant, or disagree with them on small matters like politics, sex, or religion.

8. That is just a very long bolt from the Hawthorne Bridge in Portland! |
|
I can't post the picture now, but my husband has one of those as a souvenir from the repair they completed in 1988.

6. What's really amazing, Oeditpus Rex, is that you've still got a picture of |
|
a Jenis posted here in your signature. How'd that happen?
Maybe it's the gauzy look that has allowed us to avert our glances.

15. Light or dark karo syrup. |
|
I don't think it makes a big difference.

16. I usually buy one of each, |
|
but I prefer light Karo syrup. The dark Karo syrup smells funky to me. But I hate the smell of molasses, too. :scared:
