I have just got off the phone with a friend who works at Target.
She started work at 5 am , had to get there a 4 am.

I will never complain about my job again.

She is a better woman then I am.

4. She said she had to break up fights all day.
People were stealing out of each other shopping baskets, that started a lot fights.

The shoppers were rude, nasty, and just running over other people with their baskets.

Kids were everywhere, no parents in sight, yelling and screaming which led to lots of lost children crying.

The parking lots were the same, lots of accidents.

She has tomorrow off, she will need it.

7. The Christmas Spirit
what the hell happened to it?

I don't remember this shit happening when I was younger

Is Jerry Springer's show on TV responsible? Or is "art" (and I use that term verrrrrry loosely to describe Jerry Springer's show) imitating life?

I just don't get it anymore.

8. I will go Monday during the work hours.
I can just hear all the screaming, yelling children crying for their parents.

10. It was rough!! Not a buggy left to shop with.
I had to get a couple of things, and it was the least packed store around!

11. To get ready, and for a big talk from the manger.
When I worked early voting we opened at 7 but we had to be there at 6.

My friend said that there were long lines already when she got there, the mood was already bad outside.

12. My husband is working at Sears, and he had to be there
at 4:45 this morning, for a 5:00 am opening. He said the store was packed (he works in the shoe dept.), but overall, the customers were nice and not beating each other up for a pair of shoes. He said there were a few who would stick a shoe in his face while he was helping someone else, or ringing up a sale, and they'd say "7! 7!" (as in the size they needed). He said he just glanced at them and said "Busy", and went back to helping the customer he was with. He wasn't rude about it; but wasn't going to give in to their rudeness and trying to cut in on another customer.

15. This is why I don't work retail anymore unless I really had to.
Early voting was bad enough.

I think I would have taken that shoe and put it somewhere in that customer.
