Please all of my Duers I know that I don't ask for much but I ask for prayers of strength today because my mom had an aneurysm early this mornning at around 5am EST. I was in my room sleep when my stepdad ran into my room to wake me up. I got up as fast as I could but I had to put some pants on - I went into my mom's room and I saw her on her knees in front of the bed in pain .... :snif: she thought she was having a heart attack and she kept on telling me to take care of my brother , I went hysterical. This is a nightmare. The paramedics came and took her to the emergency room. Once she got into her ER room I saw her after being there for an hour. I was talking to her (she had the lights off in the room) and as I was talking to her she told me to be quiet LOL :sniff: The doctor's did surgery on her and now she is in the intensive care unit where she will be for about 3 weeks... They are keeping her there to monitor her blood pressure . Her blood pressure was extremely high.

I am so scared - I am trying to be strong ... God please anybody power out there please let me mom get well soon. This really feels like a nightmare. I don't care if I am 26 years old and I think I know it all , I don't ... my mom is my hero. I feel so weak.

My best friend came to the hospital to be with me because it was very hard to talk and be around my family.

My mom smokes a LOT ... and we have been trying to get her to stop for the longest time ...

I was just thinking about how much we have to be thankful this Thanksgiving ... I feel so weak - I am home now to take a nap but I can't fall asleep. I don't want to be alone ... I feel like I need everybody prayer in the world sent to my mom right now ... Please .... :hug:

It sounds SO incredibly serious and it is, but the doctors are so good at this kind of thing and she will be fine. And, three weeks in ICU will give her a reason to quit smoking.

A dear friend of mine just went through this. Three days of headaches, slurred speech, blurred vision, etc before he went into the ER to have the aneursym removed. He's doing great two weeks after the surgery.

Prayers, good thoughts, bright, healing light and everything else I can muster to you and your family.

If you can't fall asleep right now, stop trying. Do something else, like talk to your friends IRL or here. You need to wind down before you'll be able to sleep. Remind yourself that your mother is doing fine, that competent people are watching over her and you don't need to be doing so at this very moment.

I will keep a good thought and say a prayer for your Mom. This is a very scary time for her and for you too. You don't have to be strong ALL the time y'know. I've been there and it doesn't work. You need a friend (sounds like you have one) that will listen to you, hold you when you cry and calm you when you feel the need to scream. Hang in there and look after yourself.

88. I visited my mom today. She is doing so good.

I gave her a card and when I read it to her she understood the joke and laughed. I also gave her my teddybear, the one that she bought for me on the day that I was born , one of my blankets that she bought me last Christmas , a bottle of lotion so that she will have some in case her skin is dry and some pictures of her nephew (my cousin's baby). She is doing A-okay. I am so proud of her. Right now she needs a lot of rest. So when we visit its only for a little while because we want her to get her rest. I love her and I am so proud that she is doing alright.
