So, ladies and fashionably inclined men of DU, what do you wear with THIS?
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 08:10 PM by TheFriendlyAnarchist

It's a jacket my Mom had from the sixties. Sexy isn't it? My question is what do you where with it (shirt, pants, and shoes wise?)

On EDIT: Just to make sure all of you know, I'm a guy :) I'm hearing talk of flowers and hoop earings, which I'm just not feelin ;)
On second EDIT: Here's a pic of me if it helps

1. Cotton tee, well-worn jeans, and earth shoes.
That's what I'd go for anyway.

17. I'd go with natural, rather than the bleached look...
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 08:15 PM by GoddessOfGuinness
It'll complement the design on your jacket better. A simple design on the front would be fine.

2. I'm almost tempted to say
that painter pants or corduroys for the bottom instead of jeans to really accentuate the denim in the shirt. I think denim on the bottom is too much and the shirt will get lost in the sea of blue, but that's just me. I love it, btw.

That's not you in the pic, is it? I thought you were blonde...

and it really darkens it

3. Orange/yellow long flowing layered skirt from India and sandels.
Tuck in shirt and wear another colorful cloth belt. Don't forget the beads and flowers in your hair, and hoop earrings.

13. You look like a guy I know ...
and he used to post here.

Anyways , I thought you meant for anyone. I think you could possibly add some satin lining into and make it sort of a like a suit jacket. It needs to be fitted just right and cut just like a jacket.

Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 07:58 PM by Rabrrrrrr
the day you all got super sonically high off the owner's cousin's Missouri Ditch Weed that she brought and you sat around doing arts and crafts and it was seven hours before you realized that that really super cool and awesome deep-throbbing tibetan prayer bell that you kept hearing was actually irate customers hitting the little bell by the cash register trying to buy some unbleached oat hulls and almond milk.

6. Your mileage will no doubt differ---I'm kind of a fashionista (female).
Dark minskirt, patterned tights and a tank or shell in a matching to the skirt color, boots with a mid-heel, and some great tinted shades.

If I'm around, don't let it out of your sight. You've been warned...

10. Jeans, t-shirt & boots.
I would go for dark jeans to match the elbow patches. Then a light colored t-shirt to match the butterfly back, yellow or pale orange maybe.

I had a shirt like that. I thought your mom was younger than me. ;)

You have terrific taste. Jeans, boots and a t-shirt would work well.

26. It's light denim with a design, so maybe one basic color for the rest of the outfit.
I'm thinking black courderoy pants + tee-shirt, and hiking boots. Then you have the dark outfit with the light jacket- which matches the eyes really well.

Edited on Wed Nov-29-06 12:13 PM by ashling
are "fashionably inclined," or are you wanting to hear from some of the ladies who are not "fashionnably inclined" and if so, why don't you want to hear from the men who are not "fashionably inclined?"

I probably don't fall within the group of DUers you were hoping would respond to your post ... as a matter of fact, I think I was specifically excluded, as I am neither a lady, nor "fashionably inclined," but here is my answer:

You should wear it with whatever you want.
