Afternoon Delight
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 11:34 PM by Rockstone
I downloaded this song and keep playing it over and over.
Now I can't stop.

Is this OK?

1. I'm doing the same thing
"Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite..."
BOY that song is one fine piece of Seventies porn, ain't it?

2. I met the guy that wrote that tune...
and a lot of others, besides. His name is Bill Danoff; and he wrote a bunch of John Denver's tunes...
Nice guy. :hi:

3. Tell Bill Danoff I worship him
He provided part of the soundtrack to my life. And I STILL think the song is about an ice cream sundae; no one is ever going to convince me otherwise. :)

Lucky you meeting him. Do you know I listen to "Afternoon Delight" and "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck at least once each a week? I do. :)

9. "Moonlight Feels Right"- I love that song!
It's one of those that always manages to put me in a good mood no matter what.

(Oh yeah, and I also have to give credit to, as far as I can tell, the only Top Ten single to feature a xylophone solo!)

8. Thank you for that link!
You know, except for the lovemakin' parts, that was a pretty accurate depiction of what summer looked and felt like to me as a kid in the Seventies. Made me kind of sad and nostalgic.
