I saw a white deer
I need to carry my camera with me. I spotted this deer a couple of times while driving by a powerline cut. This time it was fairly close to the road and I saw it in time to pull over. It was white all over with a few small brown patches scattered, sort of like a fawn in reverse.

17. It is you that will bear the twins and not she
saith the white deer.

Actually I don't know what it means. Last year someone left a deer head at the entrance to a wooded area where I walk my dog- and a friend of mine said it was an omen.

3. a white deer lived in the woods by our apartment once...
there was this big open field, and when the white deer was out, people would pull over to take pictures and look at it.

5. Was this sighting in Western New York.?
I was in Ithaca, New York some time ago, as a first leg of a cross country trip by car. Not far away was an old military base, the area of which is totally fenced in. It's not in use now but it was heavily guarded during the Cold War. When the military erected the fence a population of deer was enclosed within it. Over time a genetic trait showed up in the deer, they were all colored white or an off-white/cream sort of color. I was able to see one of these deer from a distance. I was told that they are NOT Albino, you could tell this by the deer's eyes. An albino deer will have whitish eyes, and look rather spooky. The white deer in this old base still have regular colored eyes, brownish. I know every once in a while someone spots an albino deer somewhere. Any naturally colored deer would be in fall/winter coat now, a thick grayish blue but the color may vary from region to region.

15. Many years ago there was an albino deer
at our corporate headquarters, she (assuming that because of the lack of antlers) was there for several years until I moved to a different building. Sitting in the cafeteria, or outside on nice days, it was great seeing her. Now that the headquarters is fenced in because of security concerns, there aren't any critters larger than a chipmunk there.
