Incredimail - Those Dirty Bastards !
If you have Incredimail and like it, whatever you do, do not download the newest version put out in July '06 ! Here's what happened to me just a couple of hours ago.

I just upgraded my Incredimail only to find they've gotten greedy and took away the free junk filter and surplanted it with a high-priced paid subscription that is only good for one year. After using Incredimail and spreading the word of it's uniqueness for years, I find this action dispicable. It was even more disguisting when I found it affected both of our computers through the router, not just the one that was intended for upgrade.

Those bastards need to replace the junk filter as it was, for everyone. Without it, it's just another program.

Does anyone have the previous version and could send the files to me via email? Either that or make a CD and send it to me? I'll be happy to pay for the shipping and costs.

1. I totally agree with you and I fired off an e-mail to them
as soon as I realized their "update" was actually a downgrade from a very good program. Basically their response was "too bad, so sad". I wish I had the previous program. It was much better than this so-called upgrade.

5. Yeah..just posted below....
In the message itself, click on message in the tool bar and scroll down to block sender. Once you click that you should recieve a second prompt asking if you want to bounce the message back to send. I always take it all the way.
YOu can also right click on a particular message in your inbox and scroll down to the same "block sender" option as well.

4. I found that out shortly after the release....
For most of my programs I'm kind of dorky about keeping them up to date. I had noticed the Spam filter thing after I downloaded the update last summer..
It does suck, but then I don't get too much spam anyway. At least what I do get is very minimal. I use the block sender and bounce which seems to keep it down to a minimum.

Hey, this is so easy, and the bastards at Incredimail didn't think of closing this Rule Option.

Here's what you do and bypass the new Incredicrap Junk Filter!

Open Incredimail and right click on "Folders."

1. Make a New Folder Name It "Junk & Unapproved"

2. Click on Tools tab.

3.Choose Message Rules. Make a Message Rule for this folder.
(It's a drop box and a "If and Then" statement.)

4. Choose Message Rule If "Received from Unapproved Sender" then move it to Now choose the "..." box and click on your new "Junk & Approved" folder. Click Okay. At the remaining box, click okay.

When you do that, another box will appear.

5. Apply this message rule to - choose "Inbox."

This tweak enables everything that the old junk mail folder had but the feature that deletes older email from the folder automatically.

Then, to double check go back to "Tools" then "Message Rules" and your new rule should be there. Also, if there are any unapproved emails currently in your inbox, they should have gone to the new Junk Box.

Let me know if you have any questions. And let us know how it works for you!
